Amvix is paid by an advertiser. This page sets out who pays, for what, how much influence that buys, and what it does not buy.

1. Who is paid, and by whom

The publisher of this site — Lerifin corporation s.r.o., Zrzavého 1705/2a, Řepy, 163 00 Praha 6, Czech Republic, company number 08211752 — participates in an affiliate programme through an advertising network. Surfshark is the advertiser. The network records that a reader arrived from this site and, if a subscription is purchased, pays the publisher a percentage of that sale. Payment happens only on a completed purchase: no payment arises from your reading a page, or from following a link and buying nothing.

2. What it costs you

Nothing. The price is set by the vendor at its own checkout and is the same price you would pay arriving there directly. There is no surcharge, no referral fee and no upward adjustment. The commission comes out of the vendor's margin, not out of your pocket.

3. What the arrangement does influence

Being honest about this matters more than insisting on independence we do not have.

• Which product is named. Surfshark Antivirus is the only product covered by name on this site, and the reason is the commercial arrangement. Had the arrangement been with another vendor, that vendor would be the one named.
• That a product page exists at all. The product coverage page exists because of this arrangement. Without it, the site would have no reason to write about a specific commercial product.
• That the site exists. Writing and maintaining these pages costs money, and this is where that money comes from.

4. What it does not influence

• What is said about the product. Every factual statement about Surfshark Antivirus on this site comes from the affiliate listing supplied by the network or from the vendor's own public pages. Where the source material is silent, the site says so. The product page carries a longer list of what is not stated than of what is.
• The category pages. The pages on how antivirus software works, how to choose it, device checklists, fake alerts and consumer rights name no commercial product. They are written to be equally useful to a reader who buys nothing, including someone who concludes that the protection built into their operating system is sufficient — a conclusion those pages describe as legitimate.
• Whether inconvenient things get said. This site states that iOS restrictions limit what any security app can do, that free tiers usually carry the same detection engine as paid ones, that renewal pricing is the figure that matters, and that no product prevents a scam. Each of those makes a sale less likely. They are here because they are true.
• Rankings and scores. There are none. Amvix publishes no ratings, no test results, no award badges and no testimonials, so there is no ordering for a commission to distort.

5. What does determine the content

Within the commercial scope described above, what appears on a page is decided by three things: whether a reader in Australia would plausibly search for it, whether it can be stated accurately from a source we can name, and whether it remains useful with every affiliate link removed. A draft that fails the third test is rewritten. The about page sets out the editorial method in full, including the rules on testing, scores and attribution.

6. How to identify a paid link

Every affiliate link on this site is marked in three ways at once:

• a line of ordinary body text immediately beneath it, saying that it is a paid link and that your price does not change;
• the technical attributes rel="sponsored nofollow" on the link itself, which is how search engines are told it is paid;
• a note in the sidebar of any page carrying one, and this disclosure page linked from the footer of every page on the site.

Affiliate links open in a new tab and go to the address supplied by the advertising network, which forwards to the vendor's own sign-up flow. No link on this domain is cloaked, disguised, rewritten by script, or routed through a redirect of ours. What you see in your browser's status bar is where the link goes.

7. What Amvix is not

Amvix is not Surfshark, is not an authorised reseller, agent or partner of Surfshark, and has no access to any vendor system. It has no role in a purchase beyond the referral, and no involvement in your account, your billing or your support requests, all of which go to the vendor. Surfshark Antivirus and all other product names, logos and brands mentioned on this site are the property of their respective owners, and Amvix is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.

8. Why this page exists

Australian Consumer Law prohibits misleading or deceptive conduct in trade, and the prohibition covers what a page implies as well as what it states. A site paid to promote a product, presenting itself as an independent review or as the vendor's own site, is doing exactly what that law addresses — and the ACCC, which administers it, can act against the publisher and not only the advertiser. Disclosure this explicit is the straightforward way to stay on the right side of that, and it is also simply the information a reader is owed before deciding how much weight to give a page.
